User Roles

WordPress allows you to assign different user roles to control the permissions/capabilities of the users on your site. In addition to the default user roles (Administrator, Editor, Author, Contributor, Viewer, Subscriber), the Tablao theme includes a Manager role.

List of User Roles

  • Administrator: The highest level of permission. Admins have the power to access almost everything.
  • Manager: Managers have all the Editor capabilities, plus the ability to add/manage users, add/edit custom post types (Team Member posts, Modal posts), add/edit Ninja Forms. Managers cannot edit Theme Options, Plugins, Tools, JetPack, or Yoast.
  • Editor: Has access to all posts, pages, comments, categories, and tags, and can upload media. Editors cannot add/edit custom post types (Team Member posts, Modal posts), or Ninja Forms.
  • Author: Can write, upload media, edit, and publish their own posts.
  • Contributor: Has no publishing or uploading capability but can write and edit their own posts until they are published.
  • Viewer: Viewers can read and comment on posts and pages on private sites.
